PROGRAM

Day 1

Arrival in Astrakhan, transfer to fishing base. Accommodation and rest.

Instruction about fishing and rules of the behaviour on the water. You will get fishing gear and see reserve, look at delta of Volga and beautiful nature.

Dinner at the base.

Day 2

Breakfast, start of a fishing trip by boat (or snow-cats on the ice fishing in the winter period).

All boats are equipped with: life jackets, anchors, depth sounder. Gasoline for boats acquired by facts on the ground.

Fishing with great pleasure. You will get a very nice results.

Back to base with catch. Fishing dinner.

 

Day 3

Breakfast at the base, leaving on a fishing trip on the boat (or snow-cats on the ice fishing in the winter).

Back to base to catch. Dinner from local natural food.

Breakfast,  go for fishing by boat boat (or snow-cats on the ice fishing in the winter).

Go to Astrakhan — old russian city which located at the bank of Volga river. Hotel accommodation in the city center. Free time, walks around the city on your own.

 

Day 5

Breakfast. City tour in Astrakhan. Astrakhan has a rich history. Town being conquered by Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century and thereby becoming part of the Russian Empire.  Astrakhan was the capital of Khazaria (the famed Jewish Empire of the 8th and 9th centuries) and was a stronghold of the Golden Horde. After Astrakhan was developed as Russia’s Gate to the Orient.  Peter and Catherine the Great really promoted the industrial potential of the city. Astrakhan is a truly international city and there are many different nationalities including Indian, Persian, Armenian, Russian, Khivian, Turkish and others. Nowadays its main town for black caviar production.

Excursion to the fish farm (sturgeon farm).

Sturgeon farm has 180 pools for fish breeding in the wild.

During the tour you will learn features of cultivation of the most expensive in the world of fish — sturgeon, beluga, sterlet and bester. You can participate in the process of feeding.

After the tour, you will have to wait for the delicious fish dishes from the chef.

The restaurant offers a large variety of fish dishes. By lunchtime beer is served with fish hors d’oeuvres.

After lunch you can relax on the cozy terrace on the banks of the Volga River. Tasting ice cream and refreshing drinks.

On the farm there is a shop of their own products — fish hot and cold smoked, balyk and black caviar. In memory you can buy some souvenirs.

Back to Astrakhan.  Free time, walks around the city on your own

Breakfast at the hotel, check-out till 12.00, transfer to the airport or train station.
